IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS

If it were it would be easy. There’s strategy and execution, competing demands and people. There’s where the industry is headed and where your company is headed and they don’t always match up. And, then there are the opportunities that require those limited resources of people and money.

WALKING A TIGHTROPE

That’s really your job. It is all about balance. Balance the needs with the available funds. Balance the future with the available resources. Balance the relationships with the right amount of optimism and pessimism. What about your own needs for balance?

WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?

The CEO, the President, the Board, the Investors, or the Bank. It’s not confusing, just demanding. The short- term need isn’t always the long-term answer. Your job is to make it all add up and make sense. When they talk about “trusted advisors” they might just as well substitute your name because that’s the role you are really playing.

WHERE DO YOU GO TO REBOOT?

Even Abe Lincoln said if he had 8 minutes to chop down a tree he’d spend the first 6 sharpening his saw. Do you ever wonder how others handle those competing demands, how others make those key decisions, how others stay current on the ever-changing tax and accounting issues?

THE ANSWER DESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND

Plug in once a month for four hours and meet like- minded colleagues from different industries. Make sure you are staying on top of your game. Make sure you are honing your decision making skills. Rub shoulders with others who are driving strategy and achieving results. Challenge these members with your toughest business issues and watch what happens. This is where smart people go to get smarter. This is where street- wise and book-wise meet.

WHO DRIVES THE AGENDA?

You do. You tell us what’s important to you and we deliver. CPE credits are given for each meeting and we gear the agendas toward the requirements to maintain your CPA license. Confidentiality is required and you’ll sign an agreement. Your competitors are not allowed so let’s start talking so you don’t lose your place at the table. Plus, the group taps out at 14 members.
