You made this decision because it was the best one for you. It felt right to be on your own and it still feels right. High can be as high as you want it to be. Big can be as big as you want it to be. It’s all up to you and that’s a great feeling.

It doesn’t mean you are out there without support, without mentors, without feedback, without partners. It doesn’t mean that you have given up belonging to a team. And, it really doesn’t mean that you have learned all there is to learn. So, how do you fill in the gaps? How do you realize your ambition and stay tethered to what matters?

What’s the analogy, The Emperor’s New Clothes? You’re good. You know you’re good. What don’t you know? Who tells you that? How do you get feedback on everything from positioning to proposals to presen-tations? Who out there can come to your table without a vested interest and be honest? Who cares to tell you the truth?
